Shanghai IVY School is located in Pudong Kangqiao International Community, near Emerald Garden Villa. Together with Changning International School and English school, we form a perfect international atmosphere and language environment. In order to provide our students with the most comprehensive hardware protection, our school is equipped with an independent playground, indoor gymnasium, art dance classroom, music classroom, multimedia classroom, science laboratory, student dormitory and so on. In the meantime, we share the indoor swimming pool and Pitch& Putt Gold Course with Emerald Garden Villa. A ratio of less than 1:8 student-faculties ensures that every student can get great attention from the teachers and we can allocate our education resources reasonably and effectively.

-PYP Physical Education (PSPE)
PSPE in the PYP is concerned with the individual’s wellbeing through the promotion and development of concepts, knowledge, attitudes and skills that contribute to this wellbeing. Wellbeing is intrinsically linked to all aspects of a student’s experience at school and beyond. It encompasses physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and social health and development, and contributes to an understanding of self, to developing and maintaining relationships with others, and to participation in an active, healthy lifestyle. PSPE is actually the combination of two curriculum areas, PE and PSE, which are described below.
Physical Education (PE)
Through Physical Education in the PYP, students are learning the “language” of physical movement, exploring the skills associated with the different areas of PE. Students learn to understand what they can and cannot do physically. They become aware of their own strengths and areas to develop in this discipline.
Physical activity is an essential aspect of a balanced, healthy lifestyle and learning through PE helps build self-esteem, confidence, cooperation and fitness.
Our aim is to stimulate students’ awareness of their own physical fitness and to simultaneously develop an interest and appreciation of sport and physical activity. Swimming is included in the program for students.
核心理念和思想应该包含在(提前教育)和其他各种早期教育计划中。儿童接触PSPE概念越早，他们在今后的生活中越能游刃有余。
Core ideas and ideas should be included in (Early Education) and other early education programs. The earlier the concept of children's exposure to PSPE, they will be able to work in the future life.
校园系统
● 我们的幼儿园设有专门的儿童餐厅，获专业认证的营养师在整洁卫生的专业化厨房里为孩子们准备餐食。
We have our own children’s canteen. Authorizednutritionists will prepare for children’s food in a neat and professionalkitchen.
● 我们一直为孩子们提供高标准的饮食，蔬菜、水果和米面均为有机，并且每日采购，以确保食材的新鲜度，仅采购时令蔬菜和水果，使用橄榄油烹制，少盐少油，且中西式饮食结合，同时若孩子有特别饮食习惯（如素食或过敏），厨房工作人员会额外提供不同食物。
We are always providing children with highstandard diet. We buy organic vegetables, fruits, rice and flour every day inorder to make sure the food is always fresh. We only purchase seasonalvegetables and fruits, and use olive oil for cooking. Less salt and less oilwill be used for each meal with the combination of Chinese and western style. Ifthe child has different eating habits, like being allergic to some food orbeing a vegetarian, we will offer extra food for the child.

Two full-time health cwre teachers
● 孩子生病或事故会由保健老师第一时间处理并通知家长。
If your child is sick or has an accident, health care teaches will take steps and inform the parents for prime time.
● 保健室统一保管每个孩子的健康检查报告并绝对保密。
Everychild’s health examination record will be kept privately.
● 家长请在入园前告知我们孩子有无特殊饮食要求。
Pleaseinform us of your child’s special dietary requirements.
● 每天早上例行晨检，测量孩子额温，观察咽喉和手，如果孩子有发热情况会第一时间去保健室休息观察，老师也会第一时间通知家长。
Morning examination will be taken everyday. Teachers will measure the temperature of children and observe his or her throat and hand. If a child has a fever, teachers will take him or her to the healthcare room and have a rest. At the same time, teachers will inform parents for prime time.

统一制服 Uniform
所有孩子应穿着统一制服，保持得体、整洁、大方，为个人仪表感到自豪。统一制服分冬款和夏款，孩子应根据季节变化穿着不同的制服。所有制服和配饰可在上海常青藤幼儿园校制服商店购买。
All the students wear the same uniforms. They should feel proud to wear neatly and appropriately. There are two kinds of uniforms which are winter uniforms and summer ones. Students change uniforms according to seasons. All the uniforms and accessories can be bought in IVY uniform store.
家长或监护人可每天接送学生来学校，学校也为有需要的家庭提供校车接送服务，幼儿园的校车座椅都配有安全带，保障上下学途中学生的人身安全，并且保证学生准时到校。我们认为“爱”是任何一个孩子成长过程中的最关键要素。
Parents or guardians can send children toschool every day. Our school also provides shuttle bus service to neededfamilies. Our shuttle buses are equipped with seat belts to ensure children’ssafety and presence at school. We think that love is the most important elementin every child’s growth.

它是常青藤幼儿园家长们沟通交流的平台，也是家校良性互动的桥梁。幼儿园园长办公室正致力于幼儿园家校协会的组建，一旦筹备完成，常青藤幼儿园所有家长将自动成为常青藤幼儿园家校协会会员。家校协会执行委员会将会协助组织家长们参与支持学校活动。
It is a communication platform and bridge for IVY parents. IVY principal office is dedicated to building our Home- School Association. At that time, all the parents of Shanghai Ivy Kindergarten will automatically be the members of the association. The executive committee of Home-School Association will organize parents to support our school’s activities.
